UL 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. All 46 AFC members that are also FIFA members entered the competition, with the top 26 earning a bye into the first group phase.

CAF executive committee have approved the format for CAF’s qualifiers for the 2026 Men’s World Cup. All 54 CAF member nations are expected to enter the competition, which determines nine places at the Men’s World Cup and one in the
