The draws for the UEFA playoffs and interconfederation playoffs were held on THU 20 NOV 2025. The results determine the last matches on the road to the 2026 Men’s World Cup, where the last six qualifying teams will be decided.

The 16 UEFA teams were drawn into four paths, each with two semifinal matches and a final. One team in each match has been chosen to play at home.

The six teams in the interconfederation playoffs – two from CONCACAF and one each from CAF, the AFC, CONMEBOL, and the OFC – were drawn into two paths. As the two highest teams in the FIFA rankings, Congo DR and Iraq each receive a bye into one of the final matches. They will each play a semifinal winner. All four matches will be played in Mexico, in Zapopan, Jal and Guadalupe, NL.

Both sets of playoffs will be played in MAR 2026. The winners of the six final matches, four in UEFA and two interconfederation matches, will qualify for Canada/​Mexico/​USA 2026.
