Colombia, Portugal, and Congo DR have advanced from Group K at the 2026 Men’s World Cup, with Uzbekistan eliminated.

Daniel MUÑOZ’s two goals led the Cafeteros to wins over Uzbekistan and Congo DR. Although they and Portugal had already confirmed advancement to the elimination phase, they played a spirited affair that ended goalless, though not for lack of effort – Portugal keeper Diogo COSTA was forced into six saves.

With the other two teams already advancing, Congo DR and Uzbekistan faced off for third place and a possible ticket to the round of 32. Eldor SHOMURODOV’s chip over Congo DR keeper Lionel MPASI put the White Wolves ahead early, but the Leopards climbed back to a 3-1 win thanks to a brace from Yoane WISSA.

Colombia will conclude the round of 32 with a match against Ghana in Kansas City, MO, United States on FRI 03 JUL 2026. Portugal will take on Croatia in Toronto, ON, Canada on THU 02 JUL 2026, with Congo DR meeting England in Atlanta, GA, United States the day before.
