Japan’s draw with the Oranje was followed by a 4-0 win over Tunisia. They then played Sweden to a 1-1 draw, a result that saw both teams advance.

In the round of 32, the Oranje will face Morocco in Guadalupe, NL, Mexico on MON 29 JUN 2026, with Japan travelling to Houston, TX, United States for a matchup with Brazil on the same day. Sweden will meet France in East Rutherford, NJ, United States the next day.
