The draw for the UEFA group phase of qualifiers for the 2026 Men’s World Cup was held on FRI 13 DEC 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland. The 54 participating teams have been placed into twelve groups.

Since the UEFA Men’s Nations League elimination phase will be played at the same time as the Men’s World Cup qualifiers, placeholders were used for the teams taking part in the quarterfinals.

The winning quarterfinalists will play in the Nations League final rounds in JUN 2025. Therefore, in the qualifiers, they will play in groups of four teams that start in SEP 2025.

The losing quarterfinalists will be allocated to groups of five teams, and they will start their qualifying campaigns in JUN 2025. The other teams in their groups will begin play in MAR 2025, whilst the quarterfinals are in progress.

The first placed team in each group will qualify for Canada/​Mexico/​USA 2026. The second placed team in each group will advance to the UEFA playoffs, along with the four highest ranked teams that finished first in their groups in the UEFA Men’s Nations League.
