Australia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Korea Rep, and Uzbekistan qualified for the 2026 Men’s World Cup as the AFC final round completed on TUE 10 JUN 2025. Six other teams remain alive for two more automatic places, to be decided in the AFC playoffs.

Jordan and Uzbekistan have qualified for the first time after coming close on several previous occasions. Korea Rep have now qualified for eleven consecutive Men’s World Cups, an AFC record. Australia qualified on the strength of a 1-0 win over Japan in Group C, the only blemish on the Samurai Blue’s otherwise unbeaten qualifying campaign.

The draw for the AFC playoffs will be held on THU 17 JUL 2025. The teams will be placed in two groups of three for the repechage playoffs, to be played in OCT 2025. The first placed team in each group will qualify, and the second placed teams will play off over two legs in NOV 2025. The winning team advances to the playoffs.
