The United States won the CONCACAF W Championship with a 1-0 win over Canada in the final match in Monterrey, NL, Mexico on MON 18 JUL 2022. Earlier, Jamaica defeated Costa Rica 1-0 in extra time in the third place match. The US therefore qualify for the 2024 Olympic women’s football tournament, with Canada and Jamaica to play off for CONCACAF’s second ticket to Paris.

The Reggae Girlz secured third place with a 1-0 win over the Ticas, as Kalyssa VANZANTEN fired home in the 102nd minute. In the second match of the day, Alex MORGAN’s 75th minute spot kick secured the US’s ninth CONCACAF championship. Morgan also took home the Golden Ball award as the tournament’s top player, with Canada’s Julia GROSSO winning the Golden Boot with three goals.

All four teams had already qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Haiti and Panama will represent CONCACAF at the playoffs in FEB 2023, where ten teams will compete for the last three tickets to Australia/New Zealand 2023.
