CONCACAF have confirmed that the first three matchdays of the preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2023 Women’s World Cup have been postponed from NOV 2021 to FEB 2022. The change is due to continuing travel restrictions in the region due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The preliminary round will now open on WED 16 FEB 2022 with one match in each of the six groups. Each of the 30 teams will play two matches WED 16-TUE 22 FEB 2022. The remaining two matches for each team remain scheduled for WED 06-TUE 12 APR 2022.

The first placed team in each group advances to the CONCACAF W Championship, to be played SAT 09-SUN 24 JUL 2022. Four of the eight teams qualify for Australia/​New Zealand 2023, and two advance to the playoffs.
