The draw for the AFC preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2023 Women’s World Cup was held on THU 24 JUN 2021 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 28 teams taking part were drawn into eight groups.

Korea Rep, aiming to qualify for their fourth Women’s World Cup, are in Group E with Mongolia and Uzbekistan. Thailand were allocated to Group H with Palestine and Malaysia.

The preliminary round will be played MON 13-SAT 25 SEP 2021. Each team will play all group opponents once, with each group hosted by one of the participating teams. The first placed team in each group will advance to the Women’s Asian Cup, joining host nation India, Australia, China PR, and Japan.

The top five teams at the Women’s Asian Cup qualify for Australia/​New Zealand 2023, in addition to automatic qualifiers Australia. Two teams will advance to the playoffs.
