Lineup of qualified teams for France 2019 confirmed

With the completion of the CAF Women’s African Nations Cup and the OFC Women’s Nations Cup on SAT 01 DEC 2018, the list of the 24 teams to take part at the 2019 Women’s World Cup has been decided. The draw will be held on SAT 08 DEC 2018.
France, who qualified automatically as host, are joined by eight other UEFA teams. England, Germany, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden won their groups in the group phase, and the Netherlands qualified through the playoffs.
Title holders the United States join Canada and Jamaica, all of whom qualified at the CONCACAF Women’s Championship. Brazil and Chile were the top two teams at the CONMEBOL Women’s Copa América, and Argentina qualified via the CONCACAF/CONMEBOL playoff.
Four teams – Chile, Jamaica, Scotland, and South Africa – will make their Women’s World Cup débuts in France. Seven teams – Brazil, Germany, Japan, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden, and the United States – have qualified for all eight Women’s World Cups.
The draw will be held in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, just outside Paris, on SAT 08 DEC 2018. The teams will be allocated to pots based on the FIFA rankings of DEC 2018, to be announced the day before the draw.
