The draw for the UEFA preliminary round of 2019 Women’s World Cup qualifiers was held on THU 19 JAN 2017, with sixteen teams learning their opponents on the first step on the road to France.

Kosovo’s first competitive matches will be played in Albania against the home side, Greece, and Malta in Group 2. The Faroe Is will host Group 4, with opponents coming from as far afield as Turkey.

Albania, the Faroe Is, Georgia, and Lithuania will each host one of the four groups, where teams will play one another once THU 06-TUE 11 APR 2017. The first placed team in each group, plus the highest ranked runner up in terms of results against first and third placed teams in their group, will advance to the group phase. From there, seven teams will qualify for France 2019, with one more European place to be decided in the playoffs.
