Cameroon have won the CAF Women’s African Nations Cup after defeating Malawi 3-0 in the final on SUN 16 AUG 2026. Both teams, along with Algeria and Morocco, have qualified for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, as Ghana and South Africa advance to the playoffs.

The Indomitable Lionesses lifted the African Nations Cup for the first time after conceding only two goals in their six matches and defeating Malawi in the final in Rabat, Morocco. All four semifinalists qualified for the Women’s World Cup, with Algeria and Malawi to make their first appearance.

Meanwhile, in the repechage playoffs, Ghana defeated Côte d’Ivoire, and South Africa defeated Nigeria, both by 2-1 scorelines. The Black Queens and Banyana Banyana advance to the league phase of the playoffs in NOV-DEC 2026, whilst Nigeria will miss the Women’s World Cup for the first time.
