American Samoa have won the OFC preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup and advanced to the group phase with wins over Tonga and the Cook Is.

Cassidy DRAGO’s two goals led Amer Samoa to a 3-0 win over Tonga in the semifinals, their first ever win in a Women’s World Cup qualifier. That performance was followed by a 4-0 victory over the Cook Is in the final. Despite entering the qualifying tournament as the lowest ranked team in the OFC, Amer Samoa advance to Group A, where New Zealand, the Solomon Is, and Samoa await.

In the third place match, Tonga defeated Tahiti 4-1 on two goals from Loma MCNEESE.
