The second preliminary round of CAF qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup was played WED 22-TUE 28 OCT 2025. Eleven teams claimed their places at the Women’s African Nations Cup.

Cabo Verde earned their first trip to the Women’s African Nations Cup with a 4-3 aggregate win over Mali, just a week after their counterparts qualified for the Men’s World Cup. Malawi will also make their debut appearance after Faith CHINZIMU scored two goals late in the second leg to break a goalless tie with Angola.

Cameroon’s hopes of a third Women’s World Cup appearance were ended by a 3-1 aggregate loss to Algeria, whilst Côte d’Ivoire’s journey ended in penalties against Senegal after both legs ended goalless.

The eleven aggregate winners join host nation Morocco at the 2026 Women’s African Nations Cup, to be played in MAR-APR 2026. At that tournament, the four semifinalists will qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup. Two other teams will advance to the playoffs for another chance to qualify.
