The draw for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup was held on TUE 29 JUL 2025 in Sydney/​Gadigal, NSW, Australia. The twelve teams were placed into three groups of four.

Host nation Australia will face the Philippines, Iran, and Korea Rep in Group A. 2022 champions China PR will play Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Korea DPR in Group B, whilst Group C features Japan, Chinese Taipei, India, and Vietnam.

The tournament kicks off in Perth/​Boorloo, WA with Australia-Philippines on SUN 01 MAR 2026. The top two teams in each group, plus the two best third placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinal winners will qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup. The losing quarterfinalists will meet one another in the repechage playoffs; the winners of those matches will also qualify, with the losing teams taking part in the interconfederation playoffs.
