The Asian Football Confederation have announced that Group A of the preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup has been rescheduled. The matches are now due to start on MON 07 JUL 2025.
Group A, featuring Bhutan, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, and Singapore, was originally scheduled to kick off on MON 23 JUN 2025, with all matches being played in Amman, Jordan. However, with tensions escalating in the region, the AFC have decided to postpone the group’s matches. The remaining groups will be played as scheduled starting on MON 23 JUN 2025.
Matches in the group will now be played MON 07-SAT 19 JUL 2025. After initially announcing that all matches in the group would be moved to Qatar, the AFC have now confirmed that they will be played in Amman.
