• Jamaica 01-04 Australia: Sam KERR’s four goals led the Matildas to second place in Group C and a round of 16 match against Norway. Havana SOLAUN scored Jamaica’s first ever Women’s World Cup goal.
• Italy 00-01 Brazil: The Verdeamarelhas wrapped up their place in the last sixteen with a win over Italy. MARTA scored on a penalty in the 74th minute for her seventeenth career World Cup goal, making her the all time leader regardless of gender. Italy, however, still ended up atop Group C on goal difference.
