• China PR 00-00 Spain: Spain peppered PENG Shimeng’s goal, but her nine saves kept the match goalless. The result sees both teams into the round of 16.
• Korea Rep 01-02 Norway: Norway were awarded penalties early in each half, with Caroline GRAHAM HANSEN and then Isabell HERLOVSEN converting. YEO Min Ji earned one for Korea Rep twelve minutes from time and just missed a chance to equalise in stoppage time. Regardless, Korea Rep end up last in Group A, and Norway move on.
• Nigeria 00-01 France: The Super Falcons held on to a goalless draw until the 75th minute, when following a video review, Ngozi EBERE was adjudged to have brought down Kadidiatou DIANI. Ebere was shown a second yellow, and France were awarded a penalty. Wendie RENARD missed the initial attempt off the post, but Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka NNADOZIE strayed off her line. Renard made no mistake on the retake, ensuring that France took the full nine points from Group A. Nigeria finish third and must await the remaining results in the other groups.
