• Equatorial Guinea 03-02 Kenya: Eq Guinea returned home after a 2-1 loss in the first leg, but goals by Gloria CHINASA OKORO and Salome GHYSLAINE in quick succession in the second half turned the tie on its head and ended Kenya’s hopes.
• Ethiopia 03-06 Algeria: Algeria held a 6-1 aggregate lead with thirty minutes to play, but the home side began to chip away, as Loza ABERA scored twice in nine minutes. After that, though, the Algerian defense held firm to secure their fifth Women’s African Nations Cup appearance.
• Zimbabwe 02-02 Zambia [away 01-02]: After an injury scare in the first leg, Barbara BANDA scored the aggregate equaliser four minutes from time, sending Zambia through on away goals.
• Mali 02-02 Côte d’Ivoire [away 02-00]: After drawing 2-2 in Abidjan, the same sides played to a goalless stalemate in Bamako, earning Mali the ticket to Ghana on away goals.
• Nigeria 07-00 Gambia: The Super Falcons held a slender 1-0 lead after the first leg, but they found their stride upon their return home to Lagos. Desire OPARANOZIE scored four goals to lead Nigeria back to the Women’s African Nations Cup, a tournament that they have never missed.

• Advance to Women’s African Nations Cup: Algeria, Cameroon, Eq Guinea, Mali, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia
  • Eq Guinea are eligible to play in the Women’s African Nations Cup but are banned from the 2019 Women’s World Cup after having fielded ten ineligible players in the qualifiers for the 2016 Olympic women’s football tournament. Should Eq Guinea reach the semifinals of the Women’s African Nations Cup, the other three semifinalists will qualify for the Women’s World Cup.
