The 2019 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign opened with eight matches in the AFC preliminary round on MON 03 APR 2017.

• Korea DPR 08-00 India: The first qualifier for France 2019 gave Korea DPR an early lead in Group B. WI Jong Sim and KIM Phyong Hwa scored twice each.
• Iran 00-02 Myanmar: July KYAW opened the scoring in the fifth minute, and Win Thiengi TUN added another just before halftime, to place Myanmar atop Group D, ahead of Singapore on goal difference.
• Hong Kong 01-02 Uzbekistan: Trailing 1-0 late, Hong Kong earned a penalty after Zumratjon NAZAROVA took down Heidi YUEN in the area. Uzbek keeper Tilovova LAYLO made the save, but CHEUNG Wai Ki scored a vital equaliser on the rebound. Moments later, though, Dildora NOZIMOVA claimed the three points for Uzbekistan, who sit just behind Korea DPR on goal difference in Group B.
• Iraq 00-01 Tajikistan: The Tajiks came away victorious in this meeting of teams playing their first competitive international match. Jonona HALIMOVA’s strike in the 88th minute made the difference as Tajikistan join Jordan and the Philippines as joint leaders of Group A.
