Canada, El Salvador, and Panama have won in the CONCACAF second round, played SAT 12-TUE 15 JUN 2021. All three teams advance to the final round.

In the second round, the six group winners from the first round met in pairs that played off over two legs. The aggregate winners would advance.

Panama edged Curaçao 2-1 on aggregate with Alberto QUINTERO and Cecilio WATERMAN finding net in the home leg. Rangelo JANGA pulled Curaçao within one in the 85th minute, but in the second leg in Willemstad, Curaçao were unable to come up with an equaliser.

Canada’s place in the final round was confirmed with a 4-0 aggregate win over Haiti. Cyle LARIN scored a goal in each leg to assure Canada’s place in the final round for the first time in more than twenty years.

Surprise package St Kitts-Nevis fell to El Salvador 6-0 on aggregate. David RUGAMAS and Joshua PÉREZ each scored twice over the two matches.

The final round begins in SEP 2021. The three winners in the second round join Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, and the United States. The eight teams will play one another twice, with the top three qualifying for Qatar 2022. The fourth placed team will have one more chance in the playoffs.
