CONCACAF have held their draw for the 2022 Men’s World Cup qualifiers. The draw, which determined the groups for the first round and the order of matches in the final round, was held at FIFA’s headquarters in Zürich, Switzerland, on WED 19 AUG 2020.

In the first round, Canada meet Suriname in Group B. Group C features Curaçao and Guatemala, whilst Panama will face the Dominican Rep in Group D. The five teams in each group will play one another once in OCT-NOV 2020.

The six teams that finish first in their groups will play one another over two legs in the second round. The pairings were decided ahead of time: 1st Group A-1st Group F, 1st Group B-1st Group E, and 1st Group C-1st Group D.

The second round winners advance to the final round, along with the five CONCACAF teams that are highest in the FIFA rankings: Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Honduras. The eight teams will play one another twice starting in JUN 2021 for a total of fourteen matches. The top three teams qualify for Qatar 2022, and the fourth placed team advances to the playoffs.
