Due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 strain of coronavirus, FIFA and the AFC have announced that all remaining matches in the AFC first group phase are to be postponed indefinitely.

Plans for rescheduling the affected matches are yet to be finalised. However, FIFA and the AFC also announced that some matches may be played as scheduled by mutual agreement of the teams involved, provided that sufficient safety measures are in place, and that both FIFA and the AFC agree.
