England and the United States advanced from Group B at the 2022 Men’s World Cup. Iran and Wales were eliminated.

England finished atop the group with wins over Iran and Wales, plus a draw with the US. The Three Lions opened the tournament with a 6-2 thumping of Iran, led by two goals from Bukayo SAKA. Marcus RASHFORD added one, plus two more in the 3-0 win over Wales.

The US secured their place in the round of 16 by defeating Iran 1-0, following draws with Wales and England. Christian PULISIC scored the decisive goal, only to suffer an abdominal injury on the play. He was substituted off at halftime.

England advance to a round of 16 match with Senegal on SUN 04 DEC 2022, and the US will face the Netherlands one day earlier.
