The Oceania Football Confederation [OFC] has 11 FIFA members. All 11 entered the qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.

One OFC team qualifies for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, and one advances to the interconfederation playoffs. There are three phases of play prior to the playoffs.

PRELIMINARY ROUND

• 4 teams:
  • 4 lowest teams in FIFA rankings
• Two rounds:
  • Semifinals: Two matches
  • Third place and final: Two matches
• Single matches [extra time and penalties if needed]
• 1 team advances to group phase:
  • Winner of final match
• Remaining 3 teams eliminated

GROUP PHASE

• 8 teams:
  • 7 highest teams in FIFA rankings
  • Winner of preliminary round final match
• Two groups: 4 teams each
• Single round robin [one host nation per group]
• 4 teams advance to elimination phase:
  • Top two teams in each group
• Remaining 4 teams eliminated

ELIMINATION PHASE

• Host: New Zealand
• 4 teams
• Two rounds:
  • Semifinals: Two matches
  • Final: One match
• Single matches [extra time and penalties if needed]
• 1 team qualifies for final tournament:
  • Winner of final match
• 1 team advances to playoffs league phase:
  • Loser of final match
• Remaining 2 teams eliminated
