• Jamaica 00-05 Italy: Three goals from Cristiana GIRELLI and two from Aurora GALLI led the Azzurre to top spot in Group C. Italy meet Brazil on Tuesday, and Jamaica must defeat Australia to have any hope of advancing.
• England 01-00 Argentina: The Three Lionesses made sure of their place in the last sixteen with a victory. Jodie TAYLOR scored the lone goal in the 62nd minute off a cross from Beth MEAD, but Argentine keeper Vanina CORREA’s six saves, including one from the penalty spot, made her the star of the evening. Wednesday’s Group D matches see Japan-England and Scotland-Argentina.
