The CONMEBOL Women’s Copa América final round wrapped up on SUN 22 APR 2018, with Brazil winning their seventh continental title and Chile qualifying for the Women’s World Cup for the first time in their history.

• Chile 04-00 Argentina: A win for Argentina would send them through to the Women’s World Cup, but they found themselves trailing just seven minutes in, as Camila SAEZ headed in a corner for the host nation. Maryorie HERNÁNDEZ added Chile’s second in the 23rd minute, and an own goal shortly before halftime made it 3-0. The result lifted Chile to four points, enough to ensure them no worse than third place.
• Colombia 00-03 Brazil: Brazil, who had already qualified for France 2019, made short work of Colombia in the day’s second match. Two goals from MÓNICA, both on headers, and one from FORMIGA completed a perfect tournament for the Verdeamarelhas, with seven wins from seven matches. With the result, Chile have earned qualification to their first Women’s World Cup, and Argentina will have another chance to qualify through the CONCACAF/​CONMEBOL playoff.
