• Ireland Rep 00-02 Netherlands: Midway through the first half, Lineth BEERENSTEYN and Sherida SPITSE had put the Netherlands ahead in dominant fashion. The Dutch held Ireland Rep to a single shot attempt as they opened a three point lead atop Group 3.
• Scotland 03-00 Poland: Poland seemed to have the better of things and earned a penalty early in the second half on a handball by Joanne LOVE. However, Scotland keeper Lee ALEXANDER saved Ewa PAJOR’s effort, and the match turned again twenty minutes later with a second yellow card shown to Poland’s Paulina DUDEK. Zoe NESS found net shortly thereafter, leading Scotland to a crucial victory that brings them within six points of Group 2 leaders Switzerland with a match in hand.
