Brazil have defeated Argentina 6-0 in the final round of the Women’s Copa América, earning a place in the 2015 Women’s World Cup. Colombia, in defeating Ecuador 2-1, have assured themselves of at least a place in the CONCACAF/​CONMEBOL playoff.

The win comes a week after Brazil fell 2-0 to the same opposition in Group B. Rotating several players back into the squad proved to make a difference, as all six goals were scored by different players.

CONMEBOL has a second place in Canada available in addition to the playoff place. On the last day of the final round, Argentina meet Ecuador, with the winner moving into third place. Argentina can in fact jump to second place and qualify, but only if they defeat Ecuador, Colombia fall to Brazil, and their seven goal deficit in goal difference is overcome.
