La’eeb, the mascot of the 2022 Men’s World Cup, was introduced before the draw for the tournament on FRI 01 APR 2022 in Doha, Qatar. A flying shawl with an agal as commonly worn in much of the Middle East, La’eeb will represent the tournament at matches and on merchandise.

Described as “adventurous, fun, and curious”, La’eeb is said to originate from a parallel universe that is home to all mascots. His name derives from an Arabic word for a highly skilled player. He was introduced in an animated video shown before the final draw, in which mascots from previous Men’s World Cups were also seen.

La’eeb will make appearances before and during the tournament, and he will also feature in GIFs and screenshots available on various social media channels.
