The OFC have announced their revised qualifying format for the 2022 Men’s World Cup. Nine teams will take part in a tournament to be held in Qatar MON 14-WED 30 MAR 2022. The draw, held in Zürich, Switzerland on MON 29 NOV 2021, determined the groups.

The revised format opens with a preliminary match between Tonga and the Cook Is, the two lowest ranked entrants. The winner advances to the group phase, joining the other seven participants in two groups each containing four teams. Teams in each group will play one another once.

The top two teams in each group advance to the elimination phase, with the two semifinal winners meeting in the final. The winner of the final advances to the CONCACAF/​OFC playoff.
