The CONCACAF final round of qualifiers for the 2022 Men’s World Cup began with three matches for each team played THU 02-WED 08 SEP 2021.

Mexico lead the group so far with seven points from a possible nine. El Tri defeated Jamaica 2-1 and Costa Rica 1-0, and then earned a 1-1 draw against Panama.

Canada, with their eyes on a second ever Men’s World Cup appearance, opened with 1-1 draws against Honduras and the United States. In their third match against El Salvador, they leapt out to a two goal lead in the first eleven minutes, finishing with a 3-0 victory. Canada are joint second in the final round with the US and Panama, all on five points.

Each team plays eleven more matches in the final round, which concludes on WED 30 MAR 2022. The top three teams qualify for Qatar 2022, and the fourth placed team has one last chance in the playoffs.
