All September matches postponed due to COVID-19

FIFA have now confirmed that all 2022 Men’s World Cup qualifiers to be played in SEP 2020 have been postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 strain of coronavirus. CONCACAF first round and CONMEBOL group phase matches were to have been played.
The start of the CONMEBOL group phase, originally scheduled for THU 26 MAR 2020, will now be on THU 08 OCT 2020. CONMEBOL have submitted a proposal to FIFA for an additional international break in SAT 01-SUN 30 JAN 2022 to accommodate the rescheduled matches.
CONCACAF have confirmed that their qualifying format will be changed to fit within the remaining international dates.
In addition, the AFC final round was to have begun on THU 03 SEP 2020, and the OFC qualifiers were reportedly to have begun on SEP 2020. The AFC and the OFC have not yet confirmed their plans.
Finally, FIFA have also announced that the playoffs have been moved from MAR 2022 to JUN 2022.
