The draw for the CAF preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2022 Men’s World Cup was held on MON 29 JUL 2019 at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The preliminary round involves the 28 lowest ranked teams in CAF. Each series will be played over two legs MON 02-TUE 10 SEP 2019. The fourteen winners will advance to the group phase, due to start in March of next year. The 26 highest ranked teams in CAF have already received byes into the group phase.
