The OFC Nations Cup was drawn in St Petersburg, Russia, on SAT 25 JUL 2015.

The winner of the preliminary round, involving American Samoa, the Cook Is, Samoa, and Tonga, advances to Group A with Tahiti, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea. Favoured New Zealand are in Group B alongside the Solomon Is, Fiji, and Vanuatu.

The OFC Nations Cup decides the OFC representative at the 2017 Confederations Cup, and the top three teams in each group also advance to the final round of Men’s World Cup qualifiers. Once that round is complete, the group winners will play off, with the winner having a chance to qualify in the OFC/​CONMEBOL playoff.
