FIFA and CONMEBOL have announced that all matches in the CONMEBOL group phase that were to have been played in MAR 2021 have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ten matches were to have been played THU 25-TUE 30 MAR 2021.

Due to travel and quarantine restrictions still in place, FIFA and CONMEBOL made the decision to postpone the ten matches, including the Brazil-Argentina match on TUE 30 MAR 2021 between the top two teams in the group. A new schedule for the affected matches is yet to be decided.
