Chad disqualified from Nations Cup, but still in World Cup qualifiers
[FRI 06 JUN 2008 – 01:56:55 UTC]
The Confédération Africaine de Football decided to disqualify
Chad from the 2010 African Nations Cup. But FIFA have not disqualified Chad from the World Cup qualifiers, even though the two are one and the same. The decision stems from Chad’s away match against
Sudan S

Group 10. FIFA permitted the match to be postponed, but this week, CAF ruled that Chad had refused to travel to Sudan despite receiving appropriate guarantees of safety from the Sudan Football Association. It will be up to FIFA and CAF to resolve thir contradictory decisions.

Group 5 encounter. FIFA and CAF will make a decision on the state of these matches.
Caymans, BVI knocked out of qualifiers
