United States captain Carli LLOYD was named player of the tournament at the 2015 Women’s World Cup, scooping the Golden Ball award after a hat trick in the first 16 minutes of the final. The US’s Hope SOLO was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, earning her the Golden Glove. Finally, Canada’s Kadeisha BUCHANAN won the Best Young Player award, and France took the Fair Play award.
