Jennifer URIBE and Raynelsa PERALTA scored in the first two minutes of the second period to secure the win. Caribbean group winners moved ahead to the second round.
» Caribbean Group B: Haiti could not secure visas from group host Aruba, so a special playoff was organised against the eventual group winner, Suriname. The Voodoo Queens made the most of their opportunity, winning 3-0 in Paramaribo.

» Caribbean Group D: Trinidad-Tobago were equally dominant as they secured first place with a match remaining.
» Central American Group A: Carmenita PADILLA and Iris MORA each scored four goals in Mexico's two wins. The winners of the Central American groups advanced to the Women's Gold Cup.
» Central American Group B: Two shutout wins over Costa Rica and Guatemala gave Panama their place in the Gold Cup.
