FIFA have confirmed that the draw for the UEFA playoffs will be held on TUE 17 OCT 2017 at 12:00 UTC in Zürich, Switzerland.

The top eight second placed teams from the group phase, excluding results against teams who finish sixth, will participate in the playoffs.

These teams will be divided into two pots of four teams each, based upon the FIFA rankings to be released the day before. Each of the four playoffs will include one team from each pot, with the order of legs also to be decided at random.

The four UEFA playoffs will all be played THU 09-TUE 14 NOV 2017, deciding the last four European teams to take part at Russia 2018.
