New Zealand have won the first leg of the OFC playoff 6-1 over the Solomon Is.
All Whites captain Chris WOOD scored a hat trick, the second of his international career. The first also came against the Solomon Is. Henry FA’ARODO scored a penalty early in the second half to pull the Bonitos to within 3-1, but Ryan THOMAS scored the All Whites’ fourth goal just minutes later.
The second leg will be played TUE 05 SEP 2017 in Honiara. The winner will face CONMEBOL’s fifth placed side in the OFC/CONMEBOL playoff.
