The AFC has announced that it will hold the draw for the second group phase of 2018 Men’s World Cup qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on TUE 12 APR 2016.

The twelve teams that survived the first group phase – the eight group winners and the top four second placed teams – will be drawn into two groups of six teams each. The teams in each group will play one another twice SEP 2016-SEP 2017. The top two teams in each group will qualify for Russia 2018, and the third placed teams will have an additional chance to qualify through the AFC playoffs.
