FIFA have announced that the draw for the group phase of CAF qualifiers for Russia 2018 will be held at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on FRI 24 JUN 2016.

The twenty teams that emerged from the second preliminary round will be drawn into five groups of four teams each. The group phase will be played OCT 2016-NOV 2017, with the winner of each group qualifying for the Men’s World Cup. The procedures and seedings for the draw will be announced at a later date.
