- Gabon 01-01 Mozambique [away goals 00-00; F/OT; pen: 04-03]: Mozambique’s first leg edge evaporated on Malick EVOUNA’s goal in the fourth minute in Libreville. With no further goals, the second leg went to extra time and then penalties. Pierre-Emerick AUBAMEYANG scored the winner for the Panthers.

- Egypt 04-01 Chad: Ezechiel N’DOUASEL gave the Sao a shock win in the first leg, but after returning to Egypt, the tide turned with two goals in the first ten minutes of the first half. Then Ahmed HASSAN MAHGOUB added two more in the last ten minutes of the first half.
- Burkina Faso 03-02 Benin: The Squirrels held a 2-1 advantage after the first leg but could not hold on. In Ouagadougou, a penalty by Jonathan PITROIPA put the Stallions ahead on away goals, and the outcome was sealed with Bertrand TRAORE’s goal in the second half.
- Algeria 09-02 Tanzania: Elias MAGULI and Mbwana SAMATTA gave Tanzania a 2-0 lead 55 minutes into the first leg, but the Fennecs soon recovered. Islam SLIMANI scored twice in a three minute span to end the first leg at 2-2. Algeria then took the aggregate lead in the first minute of the second leg, through Yacine BRAHIMI.
