But Parker still became the goat, scoring an own goal in the 70th minute and eliminating his squad. Ethiopia have now won Group A and are just 180 minutes away from their first Men’s World Cup.
• Mozambique 00-01 Egypt: A day after his 21st birthday, Mohamed SALAH confirmed the Pharaohs’ place in the playoffs with a 40th minute goal. Egypt are on a perfect 15 points in Group G.
• Rwanda 00-01 Algeria: Saphir TAIDER’s goal early in the second half, combined with a 2-2 draw between Mali and Benin, secured the Group H title for the Fennec Foxes.
