The CONCACAF Men’s Nations League is a tournament that gives all 41 men’s national teams in CONCACAF an opportunity to play competitive matches on a regular basis. It also serves as a qualifying tournament for the CONCACAF Men’s Gold Cup.

All 41 CONCACAF member nations take part in the Men’s Nations League, including the six that are not FIFA members [Bonaire, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Sint Maarten, and St Martin].

Teams in the Men’s Nations League are divided into three leagues. There are sixteen teams in League A, sixteen in League B, and nine in League C. Teams in League A play for the Men’s Nations League championship, and teams in Leagues B and C play for the championship of their league and for promotion to the next higher league.

Starting with the 2026-7 Men’s Nations League, elimination phases will be played in all three leagues.

ALLOCATION TO LEAGUES

Teams have been allocated to leagues based upon their performances in the 2024-5 CONCACAF Men’s Nations League.

• League A:
  • Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, United States
  • Promoted from League B: Curaçao, Dominican Rep, El Salvador, Haiti
• League B:
  • Bermuda, Bonaire, Dominica, Grenada, Puerto Rico, Sint Maarten, St Lucia, St Vincent-Grenadines
  • Promoted from League C: Barbados, Belize, Cayman Is, St Kitts-Nevis
  • Relegated from League A: Cuba, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guyana
• League C:
  • Anguilla, Bahamas, British Virgin Is, Turks-Caicos Is, US Virgin Is
  • Relegated from League B: Antigua-Barbuda, Aruba, Montserrat, St Martin

LEAGUE PHASE

In the league phase, each league is divided into groups. The league phase will be played SEP-NOV 2026.

The draw for the league phase was held on THU 23 JUL 2026 in Miami, FL, United States.

In League A, the top four teams in the CONCACAF rankings [Canada, Mexico, Panama, and the United States] receive byes to the elimination phase.

The remaining twelve teams in the league play in two groups, each containing six teams. Each team plays four matches, two at home and two away. The top two teams in each group advance to the elimination phase, and the last two teams in each group are relegated to League B for the next edition of the tournament.

In League B, there are four groups, each containing four teams. The first placed teams in each group advance to the elimination phase and are promoted to League A. The last placed teams are relegated to League C.

In League C, there are three groups, each containing three teams. The first placed teams in each group, plus the best second placed team, advance to the elimination phase and are promoted to League B.

ELIMINATION PHASE

In League A, the top two teams in each group advance to the elimination phase, joining the four byed teams.

The elimination phase begins with the quarterfinals, to be played in NOV 2026. Each quarterfinal is played over two legs, between one of the byed teams and one of the teams that advanced from the league phase.

The quarterfinal winners advance to the final round, to be played in MAR 2027 in Inglewood, CA, United States. The winners of the two semifinal matches contest the final match, and the losers contest the third place match.

MEN’S GOLD CUP QUALIFICATION

The 2026-7 Men’s Nations League serves as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Men’s Gold Cup.

The winners of the League A quarterfinals, plus the first placed teams in each League B group, qualify for the group phase of the Men’s Gold Cup.

The losers of the League A quarterfinals, the third and fourth placed teams in each League A group, and the top two second placed teams in League B advance to the preliminary round of the Men’s Gold Cup.

The fifth and sixth placed teams in each League A group, the first placed teams in each League C group, and the top second placed team in League C advance to playoffs for the Men’s Gold Cup, to be played in NOV 2026. Each playoff, between a League A team and a League C team, is played over two legs, with the winners advancing to the preliminary round of the Men’s Gold Cup.

In the preliminary round, the fourteen teams play off in seven pairs, each to be played over two legs. The winners qualify for the Men’s Gold Cup.
